I recently purchased property on the Kasilof river with plans to construct several log homes. I live in Michigan and managing this project from 3,500 miles was a serious concern. Initially, an experienced builder friend from northern Michigan agreed to relocate to Kasilof and oversee the project through its completion. Approximately 30% into the construction of cabin number one, my friend experienced heart failure and we lost him. Without any other contacts I began my search for a reputable builder to pick up where my friend left off. I made several inquiries throughout the Kenai Peninsula and after hearing Scott Christian's name from many sources, I contacted him. He responded quickly and went to the property to assess the situation. He invited to me to visit his own log home and several others to check the fit and finish of his previous projects and I agreed to give him the job. That was the start of what has become an excellent relationship.

Chris finished the first cabin to my complete satisfaction. It was obvious that his experience, understanding of the permitting process and relationships with other trades (electrical, plumbing and excavation...) served me well. He provided a steady flow of photo's showing progress and kept me up to date on unanticipated issues as they arose. I asked a lot of Chris considering he was tackling a large project that somebody else had started and he stayed within my budget and time frame. His management of materials resulted in very little waste and his attentiveness to detail was clear in my finished home.
Following the completion of my first home, I decided to build two more and the choice was clear that Christian Ridge would be my builder. Through the process of securing financing for the next two, I was once again reassured about my choice in builders. The Vice President of the bank referred to Scott as the “best builder in the Kenai” and that his involvement in my project was considered very favorable to the bank. I left feeling very good and we began construction of the next two homes simultaneously. Scott was involved with every aspect of design and planning and he completed both on time and right on budget. It's likely I will be expanding my project with additional log homes in the near future and Christian Ridge Construction will definitely be my builder. When Chris asked if I would consider writing a testimonial for him, my response was a resounding yes. Every aspect of my experience was positive and there were no surprises. I have told many people about his performance and would speak in detail about any facet of my project. I have known Scott Christian for over 15 years, our relationship started when he was hired to construct a log home on Alaska’s Kenai peninsula. Living in Minnesota at the time was a grave concern knowing that we needed a trustworthy and reliable contractor to rely on in our absence. I cannot put into words the gratitude and respect my wife and I have for Scott and his team. The job was finished to our specifications on time and within budget which is not always the case these days.
